DARK GLASSES OVER GLASSES: 'VOGUE DARK'
Rapid Eyewear's specialised Category 4 'Vogue Dark' that fit over spectacles, are the darkest shades you can buy. Allowing less than 10% of the visible spectrum through the lens, Vogue Dark are ideal for use in extreme sun conditions, and for those with medical issues that require the wearing of dark sunglasses.
The Frames
Vogue Dark feature an ultra-rugged polycarbonate frame, finished in an attractive, hand-sprayed matt black colour. The frame will fit over glasses up to 142mm wide, with a maximum lens height of 43mm (see size diagram).
The Lenses
Polycarbonate lenses provide superb physical protection for your eyes. Vogue Dark's lenses have an anti-scratch coating; they are decentred, to ensure optical precision.
Medical Uses
Category 4 lenses are ideal for those who suffer from photophobia (light sensitivity). They can also be used following a cataract operation.
Sport Uses
Vogue Dark are ideal for use in extreme sun conditions, such as those experienced when skiing, climbing or in the desert. If you want to use Vogue for extreme sports, we recommend that you add a retainer strap to your purchase (select this option from the drop-down menu above).
Warning: Driving and Road Use
Category 4 sunglasses are not suitable for driving, cycling, motorbiking or any other form of road use because they are too dark. Customers ignore this warning at their own risk.
UV Protection
Vogue Dark offer 100% UVA / UVB (uv400) protection. They comply with British, European and US standards.
